AX wifi router not connecting to Ring 2 doorbell

Everyone, I just upgraded my wifi router from an Asus AC router to the latest and greatest AX router. Partly because I am a geek, partly because I work on wireless connectivity in my job, and partly because it is faster with my new Samsung Galaxy phone. It is state of the art and cutting edge. It also did not connect to the Ring Doorbell 2 that worked fine with my original AC router. I ended up having to turn off the AX feature on the 2.4 GHz band to get it to work. Just to let you know...
