Wish I had not gone with the Ring system!!!!

Based on a number of reviews, including Wirecutter, I went with the Ring camera/security system when I bought my house almost two years ago. I have two Spotlight Cam Pros that are connected to Ring solar panels. I went though all sorts of troubleshooting with Ring and finally gave up.  To make the cameras useful, they had to be installed high on my house. All the troubleshooting required me to climb on a ladder over and over for each camera.  I paid for solar panel installation on the top of my two story roof and I cannot possibly climb to reach that.  I'm in my 70's and expected a security solution that I could rely on which is why I invested in solar panels for the cameras I could not connect with direct wiring.  For some months now, the cameras and solar panels just sit there - a total waste of money.  I have so much invested in purchasing and installing the remainder of the system that I can't afford to start over.   This weekend, I needed to reset a pan/tilt indoor camera as I had used it briefly on a different wifi system.  I tried changing the setup to correct wifi.  Nothing worked. Finally decided to just remove the camera from my account and start all over again. Ring doesn't give you options for this when you remove device from account.  You have to choose reasons that are permanent such as giving away the camera or moving, etc.  Finally removed it and started the "add a device."  Setup always stalls, never that blinking blue light.  I've pushed the button to do factory reset, I've unplugged and replugged, turned my iPhone off and on, all of those things that might have helped, however nothing worked.  This should be such a simple thing to do and I've spent an incredible amount of time to still have a camera not connected.  (No, it is not a wifi problem.)   I have been paying for Ring monitoring and now they are even raising prices and changing things.  It's like being caught in a trap that was expensive.
