WIFI6 with Stick up cam generation 3
I have 6 stick-up cams (3rd generation) and can't get them to attach to my new WIFI6 router. I split the bands so Ring has its own 2.4ghz WPA2 channel, but the camera I'm trying to setup sounds like it's going to setup correctly and then fails the connection after a long "connecting..." time. Is it even possible to use these cameras with WIFI6? I used to have a WIFI4 router and the cameras worked great. WIFI5 router and they worked rather intermittently. WIFI6 router and they won't even connect. Thanks for any suggestions!

I got a stickup cam pro to try. I attempted to connect to the 2.4 ghz channel on my wifi6 router (ASUS RT_AXX88U pro) with WPA2 authorization. It looked like it was working. I picked my network and entered my password. The process got as far as asking if I saw a blinking green light, which I did. Then it failed with a P7-04 error. Other than P7-01 I can't find any P7 errors. The P7-01 refers to authorization so I assume P7-04 does too. On my earlier attempts with my original stickup cams, I kept getting a P7-07, which I couldn't find either. I'm about to scrap all my RING equipment and look for a new vendor.

Hi @user7811. Yes, Wifi6 is known to cause issues with Ring devices. It can also vary depending on what router you have, as the settings available will differ. If you're able to create a guest network with Wifi6 disabled, or a static IP address, that may work for your Ring devices. You can contact our support team directly via phone, or @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram for further assistance if needed.
