Now THIS is an idea I like. Keeping an eye on your room while you are away. If Ring doesnt allow these to be mobile, they should change that. But I'd unplug or remove the battery from this thing when in your room unless you want everything recorded and uploaded to Ring, Amazon and the Ukraine.

I travel a lot. Mostly by myself. I take my bedroom ring camera with me. I put it in my hotel room. My boyfriend and sons monitor it while I am away. When I get back I say hey family! I leave it on for a bit after I get back then charge and turn it off at night. Anything bad they see it. They text me what the maid is doing :) It works great just link to hotel wifi and you are off and running. Great safety feature too while away from your family or on the road.

I tried and it didn’t work. I could connect all cell phones to hotel WiFi, but not the ring. Is there anything special you did ?

UI just got my indoor Ring to keep an eye on my pups and haven't tried this yet in a hotel, but I did set up for the first time in my office which is 10 miles from home, it automatically asked me for wifi password which I provided. I then took it home and plugged in hit top button to set up again and it automatically asked for internet password. So if you haven't tried setting it up as if you just got it, try that at hotel with hotel guest wifi password when ring set asks for it. Should work. I will try this in a couple weeks when I travel.

My indoor cam won't connect to the hotel wifi, likely because the app won't take me to the wifi login screen. Disappointing that this isn't a built-in adjustment to make the cams mobile.

If you have the wifi capacity at the hotel, I do not see why not. The only glitch might be the home location setting, if that is actually used for anything. Give it a try and let us know how it works! That's the best way to find out.
