Did you get the camera and solar panel together? I got them in a bundle. My mistake was to setup camera as "wired", since it have the solar charger. As "wired", it will not charge battery and will not have the power at night. Note that even after removing battery, the camera will operate with the solar charger alone, for example. But battery charging, nope. Resetup to "battery" and check again if it is charging the battery this time. Mine did work after those steps.

Hi @Shoppe67. The Solar Panel for the Spotlight and Stick Up Cam is intended to provide a trickle charge to help keep the battery topped off between manually charging the battery. It does not provide a charge at the same rate as manually charging the battery, and the plug for the Solar Panel cannot be used to charge the battery manually. Make sure when you plug the Solar Panel in, it is fully connect and the panel is clear of any dirt or debris. It's also important for the Solar Panel to receive at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day in order to provide a trickle charge. We have more information on the Solar Panel [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/10264201238292-Solar-Panel-2nd-Generation-Small-Solar-Panel-Troubleshooting).
