Static from recordings on Floodlight Cam Wired Pro

I have 4 Floodlight Cam Wired Pros. I notice a faint static crackling whenever I play back video events. No static during live view. All 4 cams do it, and it seems worse when a car or something loud is coming into the video. I've read it could be due to the noise gate so the mic doesn't pick up wind sounds etc? Network connection is fine with RSSI in the -30 to -50 green range. Router has been reset and it still happens. Anybody else notice this?

      I am having the same issue with my Ring Floodlight Cam Pro. When it is quiet you hear static and this static gets worse as it is mixed with the sound of a passing car or someone talking. It be came more obvious to me after I installed a Ring Floodlight Cam Plus on the other side of my house and the audio is clean and without static. A couple of differences between the two setups: Floodlight Cam Pro uses a plug-in kit with a cord that runs along the top of my garage door center rail and plugs in at the outlet with my garage door unit. The Floodlight Cam Plus is hard wired. Regarding the recommendations on other threads to verify WiFi signal strength and try rebooting your router, I have found these "solutions" unhelpful. Both cameras are connected to the same router, about the same distance away (20 feet) with a good RSSI -45 signal strength. Internet speeds are consistently 450 mbps download and 20 mbps upload. Floodlight Cam Pro is automatically optimized to use 5G frequency and Floodlight Cam Plus is limited to 2.4G. The only difference that I could see causing the issue is the difference in wiring. I will try switching the two units and see if the problem persists. In the meantime, I'm feeling a little buyers remorse for my more expensive Floodlight Cam Pro which is having more issues than the Floodlight Cam Plus. ![Ring Static|video](upload://g8ggEgRTjZgbyDBbEtEzrVfGB1j.mp4)

        Hi @espl907. Checking the signal strength and performing a reboot on the router are good troubleshooting steps to try. In addition, I'd suggest rebooting your Floodlight Cam Pro using the reboot option on the Device Health page. Another thing you could try is to connect the Floodlight Cam Pro to the 2.4GHz network. While it can use 5GHz, 2.4GHz offers a farther effective range, which may be a more stable option. If this issue does persist despite all troubleshooting attempts, it would be best to get in touch with our support team so they can take a deeper look at what may be causing this.       Did you ever fix the issue? Having the same issue. Ring sent a replacement and it’s even worse than the original Pro I purchased. HATE THE STATIC!!

        Hi @GoonerChief. Since a replacement camera is still having the same issue, it could be a network or interference issue. I’d suggest following up with our support team to see if the issue needs to be escalated. They can help you take a closer look at your network settings to see if something there is causing the static.
