Spotlight cam lights won't go off

The lights on my spotlight cam won't go off. When I try to turn it off in the app, the app says it can't turn the lights off. If I unplug and try to start over, it has to go through the entire setup process again, just to eventually turn the light on and never turn them off. Is there a way to permanently disable the lights? Like a wire I could cut? Customer service is no help at all. I didn't install the camera right away and now they refuse to accept a return even thought the box was not opened until a week ago and the camera had a problem within 24 hours of installation.
