Solar stick up cam issues

So my new battery stickup camera is connected to a solar panel, the panel IS charging the battery, However when you go into the camera settings under device Heath no matter what time of day or night it is it says solar panel not connected. How do I correct this issue and have it recognized so I can lower my snapshot intervals. The solar panel is in 100% direct sunlight and the connection to the camera is good , Those things I have already checked. PLEASE HELP.
