Solar powered stick up camera

Just installed the stick up camera to cover my rear garden. When it’s vertical it only covers half the garden and I can’t put it up any higher so I turned it on it’s side and it covers everything which is great but I discovered that the motion detector only covers half the garden now because it’s turned sideways. Does anyone know if there is away around this or do I have to turn it back to the vertical position? Thanks in advance
