Sidewalk Adapter Added without permission

As I was troubleshooting a floodlight cam playback issue on 2/5/21, I discovered that on 1/12/21 a "Sidewalk Adapter," was added to my system, and turned on by default. I'm disturbed by two issues... (1) ring/amazon would make an addition to my system without notifying me, and (2) that ring/amazon would turn on this system without my permission. As far as I can tell, Sidewalk Adapter uses bluetooth to connect to other ring systems in the neighborhood... I'm guessing that it will be a matter of time before someone figures out how to hack this (likely unknown) port into one's network... I highly recommend you check your Ring Dashboard>History>Lights to see if this was installed in your system, and then determine if you want it turned on. You may turn it off, thusly: **In order to opt-out of **Sidewalk** , follow these instructions:** 1. Open your **Ring** App. 2. Tap the three-lined icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. 3. Tap Control Center. 4. Tap **Sidewalk** . 5. Tap the **Sidewalk** slider button. 6. You will see a screen asking you to confirm that you want to **disable Sidewalk** .
