Ring stick up cam gen 3 not connecting
I have a ring stick up cam gen 3. The first time i removed and charged the battery i had a difficult time reconnecting to my network. Now the second time i cannot connect to the wifi. I have gone through just about everything. Forgetting from my network, removing it from my app and account and setting it up again. It takes so long for the blue light to blink to enter setup. One setup is done, it will not connect, will not enter lie view but whem motion is detected the blue light comes on. I have hard reset the unit also and tried setting up again. Very frustrated. If anyone has any suggestions. Thank you.

The camera had no problems until my first battery change. The camera is well within range and have tried to do the setup right next to it. After my second battery change, it has not been able to connect. I have the Xfinity router modem combo. The camera actually activates the blue light with motion but does not record video or connect to the app.

@Rojner It’s helpful to know which type of network we’re working with, as not every Ring device is compatible with a 5GHz network. Dual-band routers where both bands share the same network ID and password can sometimes cause connectivity issues for the Ring devices that are only compatible with 2.4GHz networks. Additionally, we recommend checking that the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are open on your network. You might also want to review the wifi channel in use, and change it if needed. I ran the setup from another device, took forever to start blinking blue, got done and same symptoms. Says not connected, blue light sometimes activates with motion, cannot connect to live and no video records.

Hi @Rojner. Approximately how far is the Stick Up Cam from your router? Is your router dual-band, providing 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections? If so, are the bands separated or combined?
