The lights on my wired Spotlight Light Cam come on at sunset and stay on all night until dawn. I have tried to switch the lights off via the APP, but the new setting will not save.

Hey @Frank16. Are you unable to turn off the lights manually at all, or you just mean that they do not automatically turn off in the AM, and you have to manually toggle the lights off?

Exact same problem. Go into the device settings, lights are on. Turn them off, 5 seconds later they turn back on. No motion. The only thing that fixes this bug is to restart the device. This happens every 2 weeks or so.

Hi neighbors. You can find steps on controlled the lights on your Spotlight Cam Wired [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004192966-Controlling-the-Lights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Spotlight-Cam-Wired). The lights on the Spotlight Cam Wired use passive infrared detectors (PIR) to detect motion in three 90 degree arcs around the device. If you find that the lights are coming on frequently, there may be something in the Camera's range that is triggering the PIR motion detection, such as a heat source or a reflective surface. After checking the light settings and ensuring there are no potential triggers for the lights, try a quick [reboot](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-) of your Spotlight Cam using the reboot option from the Device Health screen. If the lights still consistently come on with no clear cause, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for more in-depth assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
