Removing Devices from the app
I have 3 cameras that are no longer being used but I can not remove them from my list of devices. I get an error when I try through the dashboard per the instructions.

I am having the same issue. the instructions form Tom_Ring just deactivates the device, but doesn't delete it. ridiculous UI. And if I try to delete location - it tells me to delete the devices first !!

CHi @user_ed58cd. When selecting Remove Device, you are presented with two options: Delete Events or Keep Events. Deleting the events removes the device and deletes its events (including videos), while keeping events deactivates the device and retains access to its events (including videos). If you have chosen to keep the events and only deactivate the device, you will need to set it back up in order to fully delete it from your Ring account. When deleting a device, you need to select the option to delete events and fully remove the device from your account. Feel free to reach out @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram if you have any other questions.

UAgree the UI is horrible. Being unable to delete the device AND save / off-load the event history is ridiculous too.

So, I no longer have the device to "set back up" in order to delete it, in order to get rid of a location? Huh? Is this a joke?

I can't can't delete a deactivated device unless I reactivate it!? It's broken! That's why I want to remove it. What an idiotic UI decision.

Hi @DonOmite. What type of phone are you using, and what version of the Ring app is installed? These are the steps for removing a device: 1. Open the Ring app.2. Tap the three lines (≡) on the top left corner of your Dashboard.3. Tap Devices.4. Select the device you want to release from your ownership.5. Tap Device Settings.6. Tap General Settings.7. Select Remove this Device.I hope this helps.
