POE injector
Will the included Ring elite POE injector allow for longer ethernet runs? The ethernet cable (Cat 6) from my router is approx. 250' long. If I place the injector at the end of this run, will I be able to extend the run another 250'? I believe a Cat 6 run should not be much more than 300'. I'm hoping I don't need an additional POE switch to make my 500' run to the Ring camera.

Hi @davehardy7. The length that you can run a Cat 6 cable is going to depend on the quality of the cable. Most Cat 6 can operate up to 300 ft., but it is very dependent on the actual cable. For accurate information, I would reach out to the company who makes the Cat 6 cable you are using and see what their maximum distance is.
