MHey @Speedbugy! At Ring we value your security and your privacy. If a device is being setup from scratch, or on a new Ring account, it will initiate the device ownership process. Check out our [help center article about device ownership](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025997592-Ownership-of-a-Ring-Device) to learn more. If device ownership never changed, it should not be requesting such. Our support team is available anytime, at 800-656-1918, and will be happy to help with this concern. :)

You should call customer support. I don't think anyone here can help you with that.
