New cam captures small moving light spots at night
I installed 3 wired stickup cams yesterday and last night was the first test of motion detection at night. 2 showed no activity but 1 had numerous false detections involving small light points. They look like some kind of reflection.. There was no wind here but they wander around. I have person detection on but that didn't seem to work. Any ideas would be appreciated. Hello, here is an example of recording with light phenomena, albeit another product, the TpLink Tapo C200 camera. It begins recording upon motion detection. And here you see those typical light dots people see moving: https://youtu.be/tiEXq0naRCQ Need not neccessarily be visitors from your past.

Hey @cshine. You will need to make sure that there are no spider webs or debris around that would be affective your camera's motion detection with a reflective surface. Reflective surfaces can cause sudden changes for the PIR sensor for the device that then sets it off to record motion. If possible too, feel free to try turning the camera a bit more a certain way, up or down, side to side, to see if this helps with the PIR sensor accidentally getting set off!
