Metal Ring on Mounting Bracket

Hi there,I just received this, and was trying to unscrew the metal ring on the mounting bracket of the camera in order to place camera in. However, the screw seems impossibly tight, I have the bracket itself mounted, but cannot take this screw out to put camera in. I am using the philips head screwdriver provided.Is it possible to get a new mounting bracket?Jon
