Indoor Cam Glare at night

Question

I just purchased the Ring indoor cam, I placed it inside my front window. Pictures are great during the day. But at night all I see if the glare of the window. Can't see any images outside, can anything clear this up?

Hey @jgscuba1. Our cameras are not designed to be indoor looking outside or vice versa, as the IR filter on the lens will cause this glare that you see at night time. To eliminate this, I recommend placing the camera on a ledge outside or whatever placement seems best so that if you need it to look outside, it is outside. This will help with motion detection as well, as motion detection may not work as it should when facing a window.
