I have a spotlight cam plus that is connected to a solar panel via USB with two 10’ extensions in between. All genuine Ring products. The cam worked fine for 3 months and now it is sending a notification that it’s now plugged in and do I want to switch to wired mode. Nothing has changed to cause this. When I checked device health and looked at solar status it said it’s not connected. I removed the cam from my account, pulled the battery for 20 seconds, did a reset and added it back. Both the first time and the latest time I added it via the QR code. It worked fine for a week and charged, now I’m getting the same message again. I’ve also tried unhooking each cable and reconnecting. Is there anything else I can try? Is the problem more likely to be the cam or the panel? Thanks for any help.

Hi @slogan19. You have tried all the basic troubleshooting steps I would have recommended for your concern. The next best step is to give our support team a call for further assistance.

I have this issue on and off. It went away for a while but it seems to be back now. Is my solar panel actually connecting and then reconnecting ? Do the solar panels have issues after a while ? Mine is probably 2 years old now. It's mounted on the side of the house under some cover so it's not exposed to all the weather.
