Floodlight Cam Wired Plus V3 turns on randomly, won't turn off
My Floodlight Cam Wired Plus V3 light comes on randomly, even during the day when motion detection is “off”. This started 3 months ago after no problems. It will stay “On” past the 5 minute limit I’ve set. The app will show the light “off” when it’s “on”. I have to toggle the app light switch to “On” The toggle turns light ble. Then I toggle it again and it goes to full blue. Then I toggle it again to turn the light “Off”. I’ve fiddled with the placement of the lights, light sensitivity, and light motion zones. I have no linked devices. My app is up to date. I’m running the latest Apple IOS 18.3.1. I’ve done a soft and hard device reboot on the Floodlight.

I’m having the same problem with several of my Floodlight Cam Wired Pluses. At this point, I’ll have to unplug the light when we go away so it doesn’t stay on for the duration of our vacation.

I have this same problem on 4 of my 5 Floodlight Cam wired Plus devices - as do many other people by conversations here and on Reddit. I have been through the customer support circus of rebooting, powering on/off and resetting the devices. The 4 devices that do this daily random 'switch on' are on firmware 1.22.12600 - the one behaving cam is stuck on 1.19.11500. This all started in mid January after the cams had worked flawless for over a year. So obviously it is a bug in the new firmware. I too was going on vacation and was worried that my lights would be on 24 hours a day but wanted to keep them switched on for the security cam feature. I had noticed that my lights tend to switch on randomly during the day. My solution was to schedule turning the lights on and off for a couple minutes every evening. This issue is a real pain - I hope Ring get their act together and fix it ASAP.

Think I've had the same problem for a couple months. Floodlight Cam Wired Plus comes on randomly and doesn't shut off, even though Android app says it's off. Can do the toggle/toggle or reboot to shut them off. Annoying as it's close to bedroom window.

RYes, it's a known issue and VERY frustrating a this point. I first reported it 2 months ago, Ring doesn't seem to be in any hurry to fix it. I've actually started telling neighbors that ask about my cameras to avoid Ring and look at other companies. Please call tech support to report it and tell them it's a know issue and you want it fixed ASAP.

Same for me and quite a few others. This has been on ongoing issue for over a month. Unfortunately like many other companies these days, Ring customer support isn't great when it comes to anything other than basic setup and configuration questions. Please call ring tech support, let them know many others are complaining and tell them you would like it fixed ASAP. I'm hoping that enough customer that call and complain something will finally get done.
