Floodlight cam wired - lights keep turning on

Just installed a floodlight cam wired and at night the lights keep turning on every few minutes. No motion was being detected. In desperation I've turned off motion detection, turned off lights and even set a schedule for the lights to be off from dusk to dawn but they still keep turning on randomly every few minutes.Unfortunately it has been almost 4 years since I first bought the camera so the firmware must have been well out of date and when first set up today it took a few hours and a few resets before the firmware showed as up to date. On my dashboard the firmware shows as 1.16.00179. From what I've read in other posts I very much suspect this is not the latest version? If so, how do I force an update??Either way, I need to find a solution fast as I dont think the neighbours will like the lights coming on randomly every few minutes and as hardwire I have no way to disable the camera!
