Convert spotlight battery camera to wired

Hello, I have a spotlight battery camera that I want to convert to a wired camera so I no longer need to charge the batteries. Is there an accessory that would allow me to do that? Thanks in advance for your help, Didier

It looks like no one ever responded to your question. I have the same issue. Did you ever find a solution?

Hi neighbors! The Spotlight Cam Battery cannot be converted into a Spotlight Cam Wired, but you do have the option of adding a [Solar Panel](https://ring.com/products/solar-panel) to help keep the battery topped off and extend the amount of time between charges of the battery. With 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day, the Solar Panel will provide a trickle charge to your Spotlight Cam Battery so you don't have to charge it as often. :)

Hi, I found this on Amazon. Is this real? While some people say that it does not work, the majority of the people say that it works. [Power Adapter for Ring Spotlight Cam Battery, with 25Ft/7.5m Weatherproof Outdoor Cable to Continuously Charge Your Home Security Camera, No Need to Change The Batteries(White)](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G85HWD9/ref=twister_B07NWH7YCJ?_encoding=UTF8&th=1)

These posts have been here a few years but this issue (converting spotlight plus battery to wired) can be confusing  There is an answer on this forum from a mod that says 'no, you cannot convert battery to wired however you can add a solar panel' and this really confuses the issues. It appears that when you separate the camera from the sliding mount, there magically appears a usb-c plug on the back of the camera housing. This plug is accessible by removing the rubber "button" on the slide mount itself. Thus, the place where the solar panel ,(or a usb-c charging cable) can plug in through the slide mount directly into the camera housing  So, apparently, the flat usb-c cable sold on Amazon can plug directly into the back of the camera to supply wired power and thus no more battery removal/charges needed. Disclaimer--Be aware I am not a Ring engineer nor do I know how this method will affect battery life or functioning compatibility so use this method at your own risk. 😘
