Ring Security Cameras
Constant troubles connecting to live view
Hello, We've had our Ring stick up cams for a year now. We have 3 of them outside around the perimeter of our home. Over the past month or two, we've been having an awful time getting live view on the Ring app to load. When it does finally load (usually after multiple attempts), it will typically only work for a very short while before giving us an error. This is extremely frustrating. We know that it's not a Wi-Fi issue because it gets great signal and none of our other devices have issues with our Wi-Fi. We've tried all of the usual troubleshooting steps, such as resetting our router and reinstalling the app to no avail. Does anyone else have this issue? if so, were you able to find a fix for it? There has been a string of break-ins in our neighborhood lately and we don't like not being able to rely on the live view. If this continues, we may have no choice but to go with another brand of camera.

Good to know it's not just us! Yeah, we're very seriously considering switching to another brand of camera, maybe Blink. These Ring cameras are entirely useless without the ability to access live view. We're still doing some research to figure out which one is the best. It's very frustrating since we already invested all that money into our Ring cameras, thinking that they would serve us well. Somebody actually broke into one of our vehicles last night (we thought it was locked) and it happened right in front of the Ring camera that we have above our garage, but it didn't even pick it up! There was no motion detection at all! Unbelievable! I think I am going to be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint against Ring. This is simply unacceptable.

I've had this issue since September without fix. Any other posts put on this forum seem to be closed off by moderators without any fix either other than suggesting to download the rapid ring app, having 2 apps for the one feature is pointless. Like you I'll be moving on to another brand
