Can you place 2 batteries in the camera at once?

I just got 2 security cameras and there’s a place for 2 batteries in each case. Can you use both slots (2 batteries) at once for extended battery life? Or will that hurt the camera?

Hi @NeilO. Yes, the Spotlight Cam Battery has space for two batteries in the battery hatch. You can use only one battery, or you can use two. There is no negative impact to the Camera or the batteries if you put two into the Spotlight Cam, as it was designed with space to hold two batteries.

BUT does it extend battery life?

@user_bd9292 Adding a second battery would not extend the battery life of the first battery. If you have a second battery installed, the camera will use that one when the first battery dies.

Will you be notified when the first battery dies so that can be charged as the other battery takes over?

Hi @user_4abc26. Yes, you should get a low battery alert.
