Camera notification settings won’t change correctly when modes change

I’ve got some home automation settings running where based on certain times, the alarm gets armed and disarmed (basically while going to bed and waking up). When HomeKit runs these automations they trigger the different modes in Ring and again, different modes in Ring changes different settings on cameras. One camera is acting strange. When the alarm is armed, this camera records and when disarmed it won’t record. But each morning after the alarm gets disarmed and I walk in the camera’s vicinity, it’s giving me notifications about movement etc. I have to manually rerun the 2 HomeKit automations back to goodnight and goodmorning to give the camera the proper mode settings. I’ve tried to reset the mode settings and reconfigure the camera settings under the different modes but nothing seems to work. Anyone else that has faced this issue and found a solution? Many thanks.

Hi @user_f40e52. There is no officially supported integration between Ring and HomeKit. Your experience may vary when trying to use HomeKit with Ring. If you have a Ring Alarm system, you can use the Mode Scheduling feature in the Ring app to have the Mode automatically change at a certain time each day.

Well I tried it now in Ring itself by scheduling the modi’s on specific times of the day but this certain camera still shows motion notifications while it should be turned off through the modi options. Any clue?

@user_f40e52. Verify that the Mode settings for that specific camera are correct in each Mode (Armed, Home, Disarmed). While you can't control notifications in the Mode settings, you can toggle Motion Detection on or off for each camera in each Mode. You can also disable Mode settings completely for Cameras, then set it back up as a troubleshooting step. If the issue still persists after trying that, please follow up with our social support team @Ring on Facebook, X, or Instagram for further assistance.
