Camera not recording

My ring cameras will not record any movement unless I am in live mode. I even walked in front of the camera I had in front of the door and it never registered any movement. Another camera shows a car trunk closed then the next hour open but it did not detect any movement, and I made sure that the camera picks up that specific area.

Hi @user_e63476. I would first ensure that you have Motion Detection toggled on in the Ring app. To check, just select the device and toggle the Motion Detection button. You can also check your Motion Settings to ensure that the area you are trying to record has an active Motion Zone. Also, make sure that Modes For Cameras isn't disabling your cameras ability to record. Lastly, you'll need an active Ring Home Plan.
