Ring Security Gen 3 cam suddenly went off line last year after working for 2 years with same internet service. I went thru 3 lenghty support calls. They sent me a Ring Pro Chime and New Camera. I got on with Ring tech support and they sent me a chime pro and said that should take care of it. Chime pro installed flawlessly, I still cannot get the new (or old) camera to go past 95% connecting to the chime pro or the router directly. I have always had a slow internet service (15 mps download, 0.7 mps upload) due to length of service line living in remote area. Support is now blaming the problem on that but it has never changed. Anyone else having this issue.

We had comcast. All cameras were working fine. Got rid of comcast $$$$ and had brightspeed installed. Now none of our cameras will work. I get an error something about the cameras will only operate on 2.7 GHz or something like that. We live in town and cameras are close to the router so I am at a loss! I have tried everything and still no signal. Of course sitting on line waiting to talk to someone at BrightSpeed is just as bad as comcast. I didn't spend all that money on ring camera's for them NOT tow work!

Hi @user_504782. It sounds like something in your network configuration may have changed on the back end. I'd recommend checking the firewall settings, and making sure the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are still open. You can learn more about that here https://ring.com/support/articles/xws8s/Protocols-and-Ports-Used-by-Ring-Devices. If you're unsure how to check these settings, your internet service provider should be able to help.    I do want to mention that an upload speed of only 0.7 Mbps is on the low end. Ring devices require at least 1 Mbps of upload and download speed for optimal connectivity and performance. If you're still unable to connect your Ring Camera to wifi after checking the network settings, you can reach out to our social support team @Ring on Facebook, X, o Instagram for further troubleshooting assistance.
