Upgrading two recently renewed Protect Basic plans to one Protect Plus and being charged full Price
Hi,I was recently automatically charged £49.99 for each of my two Protect Basic subscribed cameras in September 2024. I wished I had seen the Protect Plus plan prior to this as it is £80 and would have saved me £19.98! Anyway, I thought I would upgrade now so that I don't forget next year, however the online process is now trying to charge me another £80. Do I have to wait until next September 2025 before upgrading?

Hi @Caitlyn_ring, thanks for explaining that. I am still confused by the page I was on which was titled 'Upgrade Plan', listed both of my devices and stated that 'Any Protect Basic plans at this address will be replaced with Protect Plus'. Anyway, I shall ignore that route and do as you advise. Many thanks.

C@user_197da8. No worries, they may have made some updates to the subscription flow on Ring.com, allowing for an Upgrade option. Canceling and subscribing will still accomplish the outcome you're looking for. 😊

Hi @user_197da8. Since the Basic plan applies per device, and the Plus plan applies to the whole location, there is no upgrade option. However, you can cancel your two Basic plans and receive a prorated refund for the unused amount of time. Then, you can subscribe to the Plus plan to cover the two devices you have, as well as any new devices you add to that location.
