keep getting message 'want to resume premium features for your cameras?' in ring app.
troubleshooting

Hi, I have a Ring Home standard plan. Everytime I login to the Ring app on my phone I get the following message 'want to resume premium features for your cameras? Learn about Ring Home.'... I'm not using any premium features I am aware of. How can I get rid of this message? or check what premium features have been accidently enabled (not sure how I did it, if it is the case).   Thanks,   Richard.

Hi @usre_38a11b. Check out this page here, where you can compare all of the Home Plans. Which legacy plan did you have? How many devices do you currently have, and do you have a Ring Alarm system? If you are on a trial, you can learn more about that here.

Can you please explain how to get rid of the banner? End user experience is suffering because of it.

I have been told just now by ring technical that this is a known bug and they are looking to resolve. They suggest uninstalling the app and reinstalling but this did not work me for me. There is no solution currently.

I have the same issue. I subscribe already to the “Home Standard” plan and the banner appears in the same way you describe (opening the app). I’ve just come off a live chat and they offered me a choice of either upgrading my plan or they would ask another department to stop the message from appearing. I find it nonsense that you have to ask Ring to stop the forced banner encouraging an upgrade. I was told it would take 5 days to stop the message.

Did the message actually go away for you?

I get the same thing now. I have the home standard plan, this is just a way to nag you to upgrade to premium. Looks like they have been making changes to plans. Another way to make MORE money. Typical greedy company. This is what you get for being a loyal customer, you get gauged or hit with nag screens. Ads in the app as well. They will just add to their already bad reputation with these greedy tactics.

I also have the home standard plan, so would really appreciate this silly banner going away & stop annoying me as I already pay $10 per month for their services.

Same here. This is incredibly annoying. I’ve been a paying customer for over three years, have no need of the premium plan, and just want this to stop. The idea that every customer needs to contact tech support individually to have this pop-up deactivated is absurd.
