Just received an email saying Ring have prorated myAccount even though I’ve cancelled my subscription

I cancelled my subscription last month I don’t notice the benefits of it so don’t see the point in having it, I’ve just received an email saying they have prorated my account charged me £27 even though I’ve changed my subscription to keep me on a billing cycle.?? I cancelled my subscription surely they can’t charge me
