Death of a Loved one

There is a loved one who died and had a Ring subscription for the home. Ring was contacted and provided the death certificate as well as the Executor of the estates letter from the court proving that we have the right to the home (which includes the contents) and Ring's Device Dept. would not honor transferring the service(s). It's so frustrating....the only option seems to be to gut the entire Ring system and go with a different provider for security. As it stands the home cannot be secured and Ring is not helping at all!!!!

Hi @Reecej71. Sorry for you loss. This Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038010351-I-Would-Like-to-Take-Over-Change-Ownership-of-Ring-Devices) has more information on taking ownership of a Ring Device. Since you've already contacted Ring Support and we unable to to take ownership after providing the necessary documents, I suggest reaching back out to them and asking to speak to a Level 2 Supervisor. As this is a security device, we have protocols and polices in place to protect you but with the required paperwork, you should be able to progress. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
