Ring outdoor camera not charging from solar panel

Hey guys, my outdoor camera has worked for years with only the basic problems of not enough sun in the deep winter months here in SW MS. But over the past month or two I have been experiencing the same issues you all are having. The camera works fine when I remove the battery and put it on a charge. So I tested the solar panel. It is putting out the standard voltage of up to 5 V DC. I cleaned out the plug and also the receptacle on the ring camera. It is still not working properly, so either water has intruded into the camera and glitched out the charging port or the information that I have read from a previous post declaring some type of crazy software update could be the culprit. If your camera is inundated with water from every rain storm, it could possibly be the camera is glitching out at the charging point. Today is June 12, 2024. I have had my ring camera and solar panel since July 2018.
