Why was my number already registered under devices for a new Ring app account?

I downloaded the ring app for the first time and a phone image came up showing that I had last used my phone number for ring a month ago, however this was my first time creating an account with my phone number. I had never registered any devices. I was able to see 2 laptops in the control center and i quickly erased them. How was my number already registered, and why were there 2 laptops in the control center under devices. I have never had ring before or used my number before either. TY, Lily
