Red number in upper corner of my ring app on home screen of phone
On my home screen the ring app has a number circled in red in the upper right hand corner. The number keeps getting larger. I have looked at multiple places and can't seem to figure out what it is means. Any ideas?

I have tried deleting some of them but the numbers just keep accumulating.

MFor Android: It looks like you need to hold down finger on ring icon. Press app info Scroll to notification push notifications Scroll down to bottom and turn off app icon badges. Hope this helps.

USame issue for me. The number just keeps growing, regardless of what I do: I've tried deleting videos, reading all items, but nothing will clear that number.

CMake sure the Ring app is fully updated to the latest version available. Additionally, if you've had the app open in the background for a long time, try fully closing the app then reopening it.

Here's what worked for me (android). I removed the app icon from my homepage. Then went into "all my apps" that I don't use regularly but aren't on any "pages" and I did a long press. Then I added it to my homepage. It came up without the widget number. Hope that helps. BTW - it removed my neighbors and history entries, but those repopulated as soon as I tried to see what was still there.

iPhone: My red number completely disappeared for all devices. This number has been great for at-a-glance updates. I cannot figure out how to get my red numbers back. HELP! I’ve rebooted my phone several times. I deleted the app; restarted my phone; reinstalled the app; and … restarted my phone.

DIf your referring to a red dot that usually had a # in it that looked something like this : Unfortunately for you, and every other RING customer, that indicator which was used to tell how many and which camera (if you had multiple cameras) was activated, well the clowns that run this company saw fit in their infinite stupidity to do away with that incredibly useful tool that us customers used basically ALL THE TIME. And apparently, it's never coming back.

Hi @Babw. This number is going to be the number of notifications you have for the Ring app. Notifications can be anything ranging from Ring Alarm related activity (if you have this), motion notifications for Doorbell(s) and/or Camera(s), or ring alerts for the Doorbell(s). It's best to either clear any notifications you do not wish to have or have viewed, or to open up your Ring app and review your event history to clear these notifications. Hope this helps clear this up! :)
