Turn off history when disarmed

Whilst having a full history of events logged can be useful, the filtering options are very poor.
Ideally I only want to see events that occur when the system is not disarmed, but it seems this is not possible using the filters. I have to scroll through and spot events between the arming and disarming time points. I am fed up of scrolling though Motion Detected events from when the system is disarmed.
Another option would be not to log events unless the system is in home or armed mode, can this be done?
