Tamper arm on siren

troubleshooting
Trying to install the siren onto the bracket which has already been put onto the external brick wall but the tamper arm is not fitting into the recess for it on the back of the actual siren. What do i need to do to get it to fit? Ive tried screwing the little screw tighter but should i have loosened it instead?
