Schlage Encode BE489
I am trying to give me and my wife access to my Ring devices, including the Schlage Encode BE489. I have given her access via the Schlage app (she can see the lock and control it), but when she tries to add the lock to her Ring account she gets the message "We can't find a compatible device on your Schlage Home account". Am I doing something wrong? Also, how can I set things up so that when the front door lock (Schlage Encode) is unlocked, it disarms the Ring alarm?

Thank you for the response Caitlyn_Ring. I was able to add my wife as a Shared User, but the Schlage Encode lock is not one of the devices that I am able to share with her. I think this may be why I can't setup unlock to disarm - I followed the steps below, but do not see the lock in my list of Alarm Devices. Tap the Menu (≡) in the Ring app. Tap Devices. Tap Alarm Base Station. Select the lock you wish to turn on the feature for. I don't know if this matters or not, but the setup instructions are slightly different than what I see in my Ring app. I don't see Schlage Encode Lock after clicking on Locks & Access Controllers. I see Schlage Home, which adds the lock but I do not see it listed as one of my Alarm Devices when I try to follow the instructions to setup Unlock to Disarm. Open your Ring app Tap the menu (☰) on the top left Tap Set Up a Device Tap Locks & Access Controllers Tap Schlage Encode Lock Tap Begin Setup Do you have any other suggestions?

UHi Tom - I'm all good on the PIN code. What I am trying to get help with as the ability for my shared user (my wife) to see the Schlage Encode BE489 on the list of devices when she logs into the Ring app, as well as setting things up so that the alarm disarms when the Schlage Encode is unlocked. Thanks you for your help!

JHi @user_3b21d6. It appears that your Schlage Encode BE489 works through Wi-Fi. This is why you are not able to pair it with the Ring Alarm System and share it. The Ring Alarm System is compatible with these smart locks, which all use Z-Wave.

Hi @user_3b21d6. The Schlage Encode lock needs to be set up by following these steps in the Ring app. It sounds like maybe you both have a Ring account and Schlage account, but the lock is set up under your Schlage account? In this case, you should be the one setting up the lock in your Ring account. You can then add your wife as a Shared User. Unlock to Disarm can be set up with these steps. A compatible Ring Home subscription is required to use this feature.
