Ring keypad (2nd generation)

Good morning. The new 2nd keypad has a motion sensor. On the manual, its main function is to light up keys when in power save mode. I just wonder if it works as a motion sensor for triggering an alarm when armed as well? Thank you.

No, it's only a proximity sensor to light up the keypad and doesn't actually send a motion alert to the base station. That'd be a neat additional feature though.
