Multiple Ring Alarm account site issues

troubleshooting

I manage quite a few different sites that I have put Ring Alarm systems in. I manage them from one account, but with separate bases/sites. I have noticed quite a few times now, that the “sites” on the app will pull up the wrong equipment (from a different site) and has caused a lot of confusion. Example: In the app, I will tap on “home” site, and it will say “office door sensor tampered” which is on an entirely different site/alarm base. If I tap on the alarm equipment tab for the “home” site, it will show me the equipment for the “office” site. I have to go change sites in the app a few times, then eventually the equipment matches up to the proper site. It’s like the ring app is having trouble separating and organizing the equipment to the proper locations. I even got an “Home” ring is alarming notification a few back, only to find it was the “office” alarm that was activated… Has anyone else had this problem? I noticed it a few months back and just assumed it was a bug that would be worked out soon, but it has not. Unless you have multiple alarm bases/sites, you probably wouldn’t notice this issue.

Hi @user72925. I would suggest adding a layer of organization to this multiple-site setup. For your first site, add “1” to the end or beginning of the names. Then add “2” for the second, etc. This way, when they appear in the Ring app as tampered, you’ll be able to identify the site with the number in the name. I hope this helps.

Cliff here, I have similar problem. I have 2 site location addresses, let's say Pri and Sec. I don't know if this has anything to do with problem but under each site, Pri and Sec, in the Ring App, I have already had added 2 cams under each, been working for over a year. When I open the app at the top left there's a down arrow. Clicking it lists my 2 sites in alphabetical order then All Cameras. I have All Cameras selected, all with proper site names. This is so when I open the app I see all 4 cams, 2 from each site on the same page without going to a specific locations page.    With that being displayed I added my alarm monitoring devices while at my physical Pri site, one at a time and named them appropriately in case I would later add a similar system to the other site. I set it up for self-monitoring so I could check it out before going to Pro Monitoring. I checked/tested out the devices to be sure they worked and received notifications on my phone when alarms went off. All that worked. I noticed the alarm notifications had the correct device name and room location but was preceded with the Sec site name. What? I changed back to All Cameras and the alarm security monitoring was not there, just the original 4 cams. If I selected Pri site (dashboard) I only saw 2 cams. If I selected Sec site I saw the alarm monitoring and their 2 cams, well there it was. (selecting All Cameras only displayed the orig 4 cams, no monitoring). While displaying the Sec site, if I selected the Menu top left and went to Devices and then to Security, Alarm Base Station and drilled down I could see it added to my Pri site IP address, as expected because the testing work. So while physically at my Pri site and testing devices, all ok, I have to use my app Sec Site dashboard to gain access to the alarm devices and have my phone notifications with the wrong site displayed. Not cool. I tried to go through the app hoping it would be obvious how to correct this but couldn't figure out how. I need Rings help to get the app devices out of the Sec site listings and under the Pri listings where they belong. Hope you got a better answer eventually than the one listed below.
