How to change Ring Cellular back-up service provider
troubleshooting
cs-support

The factory service provider for ring is AT&T, I live in a rural area and have a microcell to provide cell service, however T-Mobile has good service in my area, how do i go about changing the sim or getting a T-Mobile sim from Ring to allow cell back-up to still work, I have run into instances of the alarm being disarmed in cell back-up and still going into alarm on the monitoring side and had a couple not so pleasant visits from the local Sheriffs Office.

Hi @AllStrobedUp. Unfortunately you cannot change the sim card in your Base Station. Have you tried placing your Base Station in different locations in your home to see if it gets better signal?

It wouldn't matter if it had an antenna on the roof, we have no AT&T service in the area.

Hi @allstrobedup. Does your Ring app show any bars for cellular strength? Even one bar is enough to send a signal in the event of an emergency. If not, you'll need to reach out to support team directly to see your signal strength. Feel free to reach out to us here:   https://ring.com/support/contact-us/call
