My gen 2 key pad has illuminated to battery light to indicate that it requires recharging - this will be the first time since its' installation about 7 months ago. I remove it from it wall holder and plug it into a mains charger using the orange coloured lead that it came with and nothing happens, despite leaving it on-charge over night it is still displaying the low battery light and the app also confirms that the battery is low. I have tried other leads too to no effect. Am I doing something wrong, or is the unit faulty?

Hi @Durfel. Typically the power cable for the Ring Alarm Keypad is white. If you have a Ring Video Doorbell, the orange cable is used to charge the Doorbell's battery. Try checking the packaging, if you still have it, to ensure you have the correct power cable for your Keypad. We also have troubleshooting steps for the Keypad [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360042155432-Troubleshooting-your-Ring-Alarm-Keypad-2nd-Generation-) that you can reference. If this issue persists even after trying the troubleshooting steps, or you cannot locate the power cable, I'd recommend contacting our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for further assistance. Our support team can help replace any missing components, as well as ensure all applicable troubleshooting steps are completed.
