Ring Alarm
Contact sensors, keypad etc. going offline frequently
Hello, I have been using Ring for a while now (a couple of years) and it has been working great. However, for the past couple of weeks - most of my sensors, range extender, keypad etc. have all been going offline very frequently. No changes to location of base station or location of other sensors etc. that should cause this. The only change is that my internet speed has increased to gigabit speeds. To ensure that it wasn't the faster Wifi causing this, I switched my base station to a hardwired ethernet connection but that didn't help either. I have reset the base station (including a hard reset using a pin) and nothing helped so far. Was there a recent firmware updated to the Ring base station that could be causing this? Thanks K

Good to know that I am not the only one having this issue. I was thinking of replacing batteries next but it looks like that doesn't make a difference. Looking more like a bug in the latest Ring firmware - hopefully, they address this soon.

CHey neighbors! If your Ring Alarm devices are falling offline frequently, it's most likely due to some type of interference in the Z-wave signal that the devices are using to communicate with the Base Station. You can read more about Z-wave networks in our Help Center Article [here.](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001263166-Understanding-Z-Wave-and-Mesh-Networks) It may be best to contact our support team directly for this, as they can take a look at your devices and your account to see what may be causing this. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. I'm having the exact same issue but I haven't changed anything. Sensors and extenders are dropping offline all of the time for no reason. I have even replaced batteries in several and it makes no difference.
