Contact sensor tampered

My front door contact sensor (gen 2 ) will occasionally show and send notifications of tampered. When it does, it send many in a row (17 back to back this morning). I’ve tried uninstalling, reconfiguring, resetting it, but the still come. I’m wondering if the gap is still too large between the 2 parts. I added a riser. Can a second riser be added or do they not stack? Thanks
