Good question, @Michaelrd! Your Ring Alarm Base Station is certainly capable of using cellular back up. Check out our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115005323926-What-Happens-When-Your-Ring-Alarm-Goes-Offline) about cellular back and other back up features of your Alarm. Please note, subscribing to a Protect Plus plan is necessary to use cellular backup. I hope this helps! :)
