Battery Replacement (2nd Gen Contact Sensor)

This is likely to be a silly question, but I cannot for the life of me work out how to replace batteries in the Ring 2nd Gen Contact Sensors. As per the photo, I have removed the back cover and can see the batteries, but cannot work out how to actually get them out other than through brute force…
