For any other neighbors with a similar concern, a Base Station offline is often related to network connection. Trying Ethernet connection versus wifi connection is a great step. Here is our [Help Center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000916906-Connecting-the-Base-Station-with-Both-Ethernet-and-Wifi) with tips on connecting using either of these methods. Please also ensure your Base Station is properly plugged in. While you would likely know if it was not, due to battery backup notifications, it's always a good step to check power. If your Base Station does not reconnection trying the steps mentioned in this thread, a reset may be necessary. As mention in this [Help Center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000071906-How-to-Factory-Reset-Your-Ring-Alarm-Devices), resetting the Alarm Base Station is best done with our support team. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). GI have a Ring alarm system and it has gone offline, the 'lightening' symbol on the base station is lit up red, does this mean the power cable has failed? The blue ring has been lit and solid for the last 2/3 weeks since this has gone offline, not sure if this means it is running on battery? Blurb states battery last 24 hours when no power? Is the whole set up goosed? The new power cables seem to all be for the doorbell, do I start again with another manufacturer or can this be saved? * less than 2 years old

CHi @Geriskye. I'd recommend following up with our support team on this matter so they can walk you through any applicable troubleshooting steps with your Base Station. Attempting to troubleshoot the Base Station without our support team's guidance could reset your entire Ring Alarm network, so it is best if you give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.

Welcome, @gb1! If possible, I recommend connecting your Base Station to the network via ethernet to see if this concern persists. Wifi signal can sometimes be interfered with or present variables that ethernet will factor out. Try removing and reinstalling the Ring app on your mobile device as well, to ensure it is notifying statuses efficiently. If this does not improve connection, the best next step would be reaching out to our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036196372-Get-in-Touch) for more in-depth troubleshooting. I hope this helps! :)
