Ring Alarm
Arming away/stay with doors unlocked
Does anyone know of a setting within the Ring app that would prevent the alarm from arming in Away and Stay modes if the front door is left unlocked? It throws a bypass alert if you try to arm with a door or window open. I have a schlage smart lock on my door and it is setup as a partner device in the Ring app. If we forget and leave the door unlocked at night or when we leave I would like the system to notify me/fail to arm.

Hey Neighbors! I'd like to share this Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/4417964486676) about the Ring Alarm Quick Exit. This new feature allow you to open a door without Disarming the Alarm and setting off your Alarm by using the button on your Contact Sensor. Be sure to update your Ring app and let us know how you like this feature!

Glad you asked, @Folap! The bypassing of a sensor or Alarm device when arming your Alarm in a mode while a sensor is tripped, will only apply to Ring Alarm branded devices. Thus, a smart lock, even if Works With Ring, will not require a bypass, or further action for your Alarm to arm. This does sound like a great feature request though! As we always value our neighbors' feedback, feel free to add this request on our [Feature Request Board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24).
