What will happen to the 3G Backup of my Ring alarm system when the 3G networks go offline early next year? It is my understanding that all major provider will discontinie 3G as of next year Thanks

    Hi @joecolorado. No need to worry about 3G no longer being available next year because the backup network we use for Ring Alarm is 4G. I hope this helps ease any concerns you might have. Please let us know if you have any other questions. :)

      Double checking, does the 1st generation base station also use 4G for cellular backup/monitoring?

    Yes. The Ring Alarm Cellular Backup will connect to 3G and 4G networks, depending on what is available. :)
