Using Android phone (samsung) and cant get the chime to ring when doorbell is pressed. The doorbell rings but not the chime. Everything is linked and chimes set as well as tones and volume slider. Have read that you cant set it up using Android is this correct?
Hi @user45612. The Ring app, which is used to set up and control Ring devices, is available on both iOS and Android smartphones. So it does not matter which type of phone you have. I’d recommend checking your phone’s app store to make sure your Ring app is fully updated. Then in the Ring app, navigate to Devices > your Chime > Audio Settings > Chime Alerts and verify that the Chime is set to play an alert for when someone rings the Doorbell. Next, go to the Chime Tones menu and select the Rings tab to choose the alert tone and set the volume.
While adjusting your settings, ensure you are tapping the Save button so your selections save. If the Chime is still not playing an audible alert when someone rings your Doorbell, despite checking the above, please follow up with our support team so they can take a closer look.
