Support Gave Me Wrong Information

Ring Support gave me a discount code for 35% off because of a broken camera, and said it could be combined with my 10% off subscriber discount. When I went to checkout, it wouldn’t use both codes. I chatted and called customer service and the billing department and they all said no you can’t use two codes. So WHY would they send me an email saying I could use both discounts and then not honor it? Not happy at all.
